Online advertising is drawing in more and more law firms, and for good reason: more than 80% of the search for a lawyer now goes through Google. But between spending a budget and generating signed cases there is a gap plenty of firms discover the hard way. Ahead of the breakfast we are hosting on the subject on 28 May, here are the points worth having in mind.

1. ROI depends (enormously) on the practice

A qualified lead in emergency criminal defence does not cost what a lead in business law costs. Nor do the conversion rates match. Before launching a campaign, you need to know the benchmarks for your own specialism. Otherwise you optimise into thin air.

At the breakfast we will present the real figures observed on the accounts we run at OURAMA: cost per lead, conversion rate, average case value, practice by practice.

2. 9 accounts out of 10 carry the same mistakes

Broad match left on by default, no negative keywords, conversion tracking set up wrong, automated bidding switched on too early. When we take over an account at OURAMA, we rarely start by optimising. We start by repairing.

We will go through the recurring mistakes and the method for fixing them without breaking everything.

3. A dedicated landing page changes everything

Sending Google Ads traffic to your home page is burning your budget. Dedicated landing pages convert 3 to 5 times better. Provided you build them properly: information hierarchy, social proof, a short form, a faultless mobile version, load time under control.

We will show landing pages that convert (and others that do not), with the elements that make the difference.

4. Video, yes, but not any way you like

YouTube Ads and short formats are becoming a serious lever for firms. On condition that you understand what holds attention in the first 3 seconds, what to film yourself, and what is better produced for you.

We will share the formats that work in 2026 and the ones that no longer do.

5. Google Ads does not replace the rest

The classic trap: putting everything into online advertising for 6 months, then cutting it all. Google Ads gives its best results when it works alongside SEO, word of mouth and the firm's overall strategy. It is a structural support, not a one-off spend.

On the agenda for the breakfast

  • The ROI observed practice by practice, with the figures
  • The recurring mistakes and how to fix them
  • Setting up an account that holds up, from day one
  • Building landing pages that convert
  • The video formats that work in 2026
  • Making Google Ads a lasting growth lever
