This week in The Cheat Code ποΈ
A new episode animated by Louis Gaillot, with as guest Marlone Zard, founder of Howard Cabinet.
Marlone Zard's career
After a business school and an experience in mergers and acquisitions in a large store, Marlone quickly realized that this job was not made for him. Too cyclical, too exhausting: it borders on burnout.
The trigger came almost by chance one day, when he accompanied a friend to the Labor Court for a conciliation hearing. He says:
βThe lawyer had a real role: he pleaded, he fought for his client. Behind each file, there was a human. And then I said to myself: that's what I want to do.β
He then scrambled everything to create his own cabinet, howard, with a clear idea: to help those who, like him, are going through burnout or a toxic relationship with their employer. For six months, he trained intensively in labor law, and put all his energy into this new project.
The beginnings and the ascent
Initially, Marlone found its customers only through word-of-mouth. Very quickly, he launched a website. But his real stroke of genius was to integrate a transparent package system β at a time (2017) when the majority of lawyer sites were limited to simple windows.
He then relies on digital communication (social networks, SEO, SEA) to make his approach known. The result: the first leads arrive quickly.
The firm grew, Marlone recruited a first collaborator, then others as the files came in. Today, Howard brings together a dozen lawyers in Paris, with also branches in Nantes and Lille.
